CX Shenanigans No. 7

Carlos does great work, as witnessed by his capture at a Houston race.

How do you like that new background?
The image was captured by Carlos Rosario, and you’ll be reading more about him on this blog, as well as seeing him at the races. (Thanks, Carlos!)

We’re taking image submissions from this season, and you’ll get props. So send what you got, when you got em.

OK – on to racing. Can you believe that Crazy Water is just over a week away? I can’t wait to see Fawley’s vision come to life. Hope you’ve got your plans made! Carpooling is great, and doubling up on rooms saves dough. Go race!

Tons of people talking about TNX and Dirt Derby race training the #TXCX hashtag we started. Both are getting great reports. Yetti, too.

Speaking of reports, John Watson has great images and a report of the DD on ProllyIsNotProbably.com.

We also see the ASUfit CX Series in San Angelo is up with a race a month for the next three. Nice work, Bill Cullins (former State Champ).

Texans racing abroad:

• Fawley, Fish and Sundt are making the elite circuit to great results (@GatewayCross and #USGP Madison). Did you see the unique bike carry by Bryan?
Ryan D is off to the East Coast. Hit it!

Did you see the latest Behind the Barriers? Cool, or tool?

Click the photo to see sixdegreestoslush's Flickr stream.

Where can I get one of those rad “Keep Cross and Clash On” t-shirts?

Want to write for this blog?
I’m looking for local coverage in Houston, Dallas, Ft Worth, San Antonio, San Angelo…wherever the races are. If you’re interested, drop a line.

I leave you with a parting shot. >>>
Bunny hopping barriers takes practice. And balls.

Look for Ask an Official in the next post. Aw yeah.

Hup! Hup! Buttercup!

  1. The flyers are up for the San Angelo CX series at http://www.angelo.edu/services/fitness_wellness/documents/CX_Series_BikeOnly_2011.pdf. Low cost, not USAC sanctioned, perfect for beginner to expert, mountain bikers, newbies, ladies, old guys, and everyone in between. To attract more multisport folks to CX, we also have a fun run on each race date (and, … a Double Threat competition for those tough enough to do a run and then race CX an hour later!).

  2. If you find out how to get one of those Rapha Cross Clash shirts, please do tell. I would give a nut for one of those!
